Group Counselor
Group functions as a set of informal separate networks to share expertise, contacts and data on unusual or cultural public safety issues; and defuse problem situations by bringing people together. We're sensitive to the twin tensions of global or other over-centralization vs local provincialism. Contacts may not be used for unprofessional or self-dealing agendas. Focus is on better democracy, public service choice, and statutes that block citizen solutions. The Group participants at various times helped drive adoption of the Kellog Pact, the UN Declaration, defused the Cold War, and much more.
The counselor is appointed by the LIO curator, independently facilitates as The Group attorney so interactions are confidential. While existing in some form derived from advisory councils for free city law and developing a law of world affairs of past centuries that were centered in Spain, here are some recent Counselors. Attorney Laura Mascaro-Rotger (Spain) 2007 is deeply interested in law of civil and personal autonomy, and an author and leader in world home/unschooling movement. The Group is moving to develop a more public posture.
